A Walmart marketplace agency that handles the item page and the ads.

Approval, listings, WFS, Walmart Connect, and reviews, in that order. For brands doing $1M to $20M that are done treating Walmart like a spare Amazon login.

A Walmart marketplace agency should get you approved, get the item page ready, and only then buy traffic. SellTru does that for brands doing $1M to $20M. We manage Amazon and Walmart together, with $150M+ in marketplace sales across 200+ brands, and we are an Amazon Ads Partner Network member. Walmart is not a side project we staffed after a client asked. The Walmart marketing page is the service overview. This page is the sequence: approval, listings, WFS, Walmart Connect, and reviews.

If you are coming from Amazon, read how to expand an Amazon brand to Walmart before you clone the catalog. The search behavior is different, the content rules are different, and the ad auction is not Amazon with a new logo.

Approval and onboarding

Walmart does not let every applicant list every category. The application covers the company, the products, tax settings, and how orders will ship. Category approval can add another review. We treat that as the first deliverable, not as paperwork the client does alone while we wait to launch ads.

On a new account we assemble the application, answer the follow-up questions Walmart sends, and configure payments and shipping templates once the account is open. On an account that is already live and stuck, the audit looks for suppressed items, missing attributes, and a fulfillment setup that will lose the Buy Box. The launch path on the Walmart marketing page is the same three moves: audit, account and listing build, then advertise. We do not skip to step three because a brand is impatient.

Expect the first weeks to be about eligibility and content. A campaign on an item Walmart has not fully accepted is not a test. It is spend with nowhere useful to land.

Listings that can rank on Walmart search

Walmart search cares about the item title, the attributes, the images, and whether the product matches the way a Walmart shopper types. Pasting an Amazon title across is a common way to stall. The ranking guide, how to rank on Walmart search, is the checklist we use: content first, then the signals that come from orders.

Weekly listing work on a managed account is practical. We fix attributes that block search filters, rewrite titles that lead with the brand and hide the product, and watch the items that get views and no orders. Content and ads are one system. If the page cannot convert, raising the bid just buys a more expensive lesson. That is the same rule we use on Amazon, and it is why one team owns both the listing and the auction.

WFS, Walmart's fulfillment program

Walmart Fulfillment Services is the equivalent of FBA. You inbound inventory, Walmart stores and ships it, and the item can show a fulfilled-by-Walmart promise. That promise matters for the Buy Box and for conversion. Seller-fulfilled items can still win, but if the delivery date is worse than a WFS competitor, ads are paying to lose the click at the last second.

We help brands decide which SKUs belong in WFS, set the inbound up, and keep inventory from stocking out the items we are advertising. Enrollment and replenishment are on Walmart WFS management. The long version, including how the program compares with FBA, is the WFS guide. The Amazon side of that inventory is Amazon FBA management services. Read it before you ship a pallet. We would rather delay a campaign a week than advertise an item that cannot ship.

Walmart Connect ads

Walmart Connect is the ad platform: Sponsored Products in search, plus Sponsored Brands and display when the account is ready for them. A Walmart Connect agency, which is the same team as our Walmart advertising work, builds the campaigns around Walmart keyword data. We do not import an Amazon keyword list and hope.

The Walmart Connect ads guide covers bid ranges and a 90-day plan. The how to advertise on Walmart article is the operator's version of the first quarter. Does Walmart have PPC is the short explainer if someone on your team is still unsure the channel exists. Costs, which you should read before you set a budget, are on two pages: Walmart Connect ads cost and Walmart advertising cost. The published ranges there are CPCs often from $0.30 to $1.50, starting ad budgets of $1,500 to $5,000 a month, and management fees of $1,500 to $3,500 a month. You can also run your own numbers in the Walmart Connect calculator.

Day to day, Connect management looks like the Amazon weekly pass, with Walmart's reporting: queries that deserve a higher bid, queries that should be negated, and budgets moved toward items that can actually fulfill the order. The dedicated service page is Walmart Connect ads agency. If you are comparing outside firms, the ranked Walmart Connect agencies list is the one we would want you to read, including the places we are not the right shop.

A healthy Sponsored Products account often lands around 3x to 5x ROAS once it is out of the learning window. That figure is from the Connect guide's FAQ, and it is a range we see, not a quote. The first 60 to 90 days are for structure and data. Pulling the budget in week three because a new item is not at peak efficiency is how brands restart the learning forever.

Want this applied to your account? Book a call or send the audit form. Both go to the same team.

Reviews before you scale the ads

Walmart shoppers use reviews. The guide to getting more Walmart reviews is the policy-safe version: review syndication from your own site, the Recognized Reviewer program, and post-purchase reviews. It also explains why we will not scale Connect spend onto a zero-review item. Build a base of trust, then buy the traffic. There is no legitimate shortcut where an agency "adds reviews" outside those programs, and we will not pretend there is.

On a launch we sequence it. Syndication first if you already collect reviews on your own store. Then the Walmart programs that fit the item's current review count. Ads come up as the item leaves the zero-review state, not on the morning the account is approved.

How a Walmart engagement runs

  1. Audit the item, not just the campaign. Content, reviews, fulfillment, and only then the ad account. If you are not approved yet, the audit is the application plan.
  2. Build the listing and the fulfillment path. Walmart search content, WFS where it helps the Buy Box, shipping templates where it does not.
  3. Turn on Connect in a structure we can read. Sponsored Products first for most brands. Negatives and bids weekly. The Walmart Connect vs. Amazon Ads comparison is what we send Amazon-first teams so they stop expecting the same dashboard.
  4. Judge it on total sales, not a single campaign. Paid orders are supposed to help organic rank. If ad spend rises and total sales do not, we change the plan. The company-wide figures we will actually cite are the ones on the homepage: $150M+ in marketplace sales managed, 200+ brands, 90% retention, and a 45% average ACOS reduction in the first 90 days on the Amazon accounts those stats describe. We do not paste Amazon ACOS math onto a Walmart screenshot and call it the same result.

Brands that already run Amazon with us add Walmart without hiring a second agency. The Amazon PPC management page is that side of the house. Fort Lauderdale and South Florida teams can also start in person at 333 Las Olas Way. Everyone else uses the audit form or the strategy call. The fee model on both channels is a flat retainer, explained in the agency pricing guide.

Walmart agency questions

What does a Walmart marketplace agency handle?

Seller approval and account setup, listing content built for Walmart search, Walmart Fulfillment Services, Walmart Connect ads, and the review programs Walmart actually allows. The point is one operator across the item page and the ad auction, not an ads login with no one watching the listing.

How does Walmart seller approval and onboarding work?

Walmart reviews the application, the category you want to sell in, tax settings, and how you will fulfill orders. We prepare that packet, fix the gaps Walmart kicks back, and only then build listings and ads. Starting with a campaign before the account is clean wastes the first month.

Do you manage Walmart Connect ads and WFS together?

Yes. WFS is Walmart's fulfillment program, the equivalent of FBA, and it affects the Buy Box and delivery promise shoppers see. Connect ads buy the visit. We do not scale Sponsored Products onto an item that cannot ship reliably or that has no reviews.

How should a Walmart advertising agency treat reviews?

Get the item out of the zero-review state before you pour on ad spend. Walmart's own programs are review syndication from your site, the Recognized Reviewer program, and post-purchase reviews. The reviews guide on this site walks through each one. We do not buy reviews.

What does Walmart agency pricing look like?

The Walmart Connect cost guide covers management fees of $1,500 to $3,500 a month, CPCs that often land between $0.30 and $1.50, and starting ad budgets of $1,500 to $5,000 a month. SellTru uses a flat retainer rather than a percent of ad spend. The Amazon pricing guide explains why that model is the one we use on both channels.

Bring the item page, the fulfillment setup, and the last 30 days of Connect if you already have them. We will tell you whether the gap is approval, content, WFS, reviews, or the bids.
