Amazon PPC Management
Amazon PPC management for brands that want a person in the account every week.
Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, run on a flat retainer. Built for brands doing $1M to $20M. The audit is free.
Amazon PPC management should be in the account every week, with a named person who can explain the bids. SellTru does that work for brands doing $1M to $20M. We have managed $150M+ in marketplace sales across 200+ brands, and we are an Amazon Ads Partner Network member. This page is the operating detail behind the Amazon PPC service: what the week looks like, who it is for, and how the fee works.
If you are comparing shops, start with the ranked list of Amazon PPC management firms and the checklist for choosing an agency. Then come back here for how we actually run the account.
What weekly Amazon PPC management includes
Weekly means a working session, not a report that restates the console. The Amazon Ads console already shows spend, sales, and ACOS. Management is the set of changes you make after you read it.
Search terms, negatives, and bids
We pull the search-term report and split it into three piles: queries that should become exact-match keywords, queries that should be negatives, and queries that need more data before anyone touches them. Negatives go in the same week. Waiting a month is how a broad campaign funds irrelevant clicks. Bid changes follow the same pass. A keyword that converts and is losing the top of search gets a higher bid. A keyword that spends without orders gets cut or moved down. The negative keyword guide is the same logic we use inside client accounts.
Campaign structure and match types
Exact, phrase, and broad match do different jobs. Exact harvests demand you already understand. Phrase and broad find new queries. If those match types share one campaign, you cannot bid them differently and you cannot read the data. We separate them, and we separate products so one hero ASIN is not subsidizing a slow one. Auto campaigns stay in the account as a research tool, with the winners graduated into manual campaigns. That structure is also how we judge other agencies when we audit a takeover.
Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display
Sponsored Products is the core, because that is where high-intent search happens. Sponsored Brands, including video when the creative is ready, covers the top of search and sends shoppers to a Store or a small set of ASINs. Sponsored Display retargets people who viewed the product and did not buy. We do not turn on every ad type on day one if the listing or the search structure is broken. The comparison of Sponsored Products vs. Sponsored Brands is the short version of that sequencing.
The listing the click lands on
A clean campaign still fails if the title, main image, price, or review count cannot close the sale. During the weekly pass we note the ASINs where click volume is fine and conversion is not, and we fix the listing instead of raising the bid. Listing work lives on the Amazon marketing page and in the listing optimization guide. Category pages go deeper when the economics are unusual: supplements, food and beverage, and pet brands.
TACoS, not a single-campaign ACOS
ACOS on one campaign can look ugly while the account is getting healthier, especially on a launch or a ranking push. We read TACoS, total ad spend divided by total sales, next to ACOS. The formula and the benchmarks are in the TACoS guide. If you want the waste-cutting version of the same idea, the ACOS reduction guide walks through the levers.
What you get every week: search-term decisions, bid and budget changes, negatives, a short note on what moved, and the listings or queries we are watching. You can open the change history in Amazon Ads and see the work. If a week is quiet, we say why.
Who this is for
The fit is a brand doing roughly $1M to $20M a year that already has a catalog, a real ad budget, and a reason to care about profit as well as rank. Founder-led teams use us when the owner is still approving bids at night. In-house teams use us when one person cannot cover search terms, listings, and a second marketplace. The agency vs. in-house breakdown is the honest version of that choice.
We are a poor fit if you want a software login and no human, or if you need a guarantee of a specific ACOS. Amazon will not sign that guarantee, and neither will we. Brands under the $1M line should read the small-business agency guide before they assume a full retainer is the right spend.
Across the accounts behind the homepage numbers, average ACOS is down 45% in the first 90 days. That is an average, not a promise for the next account. Retention is 90% after the initial 90 days, on a month-to-month agreement.
How Amazon PPC management pricing works
SellTru charges a flat monthly retainer. Published retainers start at $3,000 a month. The wider market, which we wrote up so you do not have to book a call to see a number, runs about $1,500 to $8,000 a month depending on scope. Percent-of-ad-spend pricing, often 10% to 20% of spend, pays the agency more when the budget rises. Percent-of-revenue pricing takes a cut of sales you might have made anyway. We use the flat fee so the incentive is a cleaner account, not a larger invoice.
The Marketplace agency pricing guide lays out the three models, what is usually included at each band, and the contract terms worth refusing. The shorter field guide is what Amazon PPC management costs. Scope on a typical retainer here is Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, plus the listing issues that are blocking those ads. Amazon DSP is a separate decision, and only after Sponsored Products is profitable. DSP amplifies a foundation. It does not replace one.
Ad spend is not the retainer. You pay Amazon for the clicks. You pay SellTru to decide which clicks are worth buying. Budget changes above the plan we agreed still need your approval.

The process
- Audit. We read campaign structure, change history, and match types before we propose a fee. The same pass is written up as an account audit checklist if you want to run a version yourself first. The form on this page is that audit request.
- Structure first. Branded and non-branded traffic get separated. Auto and manual get separated. Products that do not belong together get their own campaigns. Waste comes out before we scale anything.
- Weekly management. Search terms, bids, budgets, negatives, and the listing notes from the section above. You see the change history, not a slide that summarizes it a month later.
- Day 90, then month to month. Ninety days is long enough to judge the work and too short to hide inside a contract. After that, you stay because the account is better. Our retention is 90%.
South Florida brands that want the same work in person can use the Fort Lauderdale office. Brands adding Walmart use the Walmart marketplace agency page so the two channels are not copied and pasted onto each other.
Questions we hear before a retainer
What does weekly Amazon PPC management include?
Each week we review search terms, add negatives, adjust bids, and move budget toward the campaigns that are producing profitable sales. Match types stay separated, so exact, phrase, and broad are not dumped into one campaign. We also flag listing problems that are wasting the clicks, because ads cannot fix a page that does not convert.
Who is this Amazon PPC management a fit for?
Brands doing about $1M to $20M a year that want senior management of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display. If the account is smaller, the pricing guide explains the entry-level market and we will say so on the audit rather than force a retainer.
How does Amazon PPC management pricing work?
SellTru uses a flat monthly retainer, starting at $3,000 a month. The published market range for marketplace agency retainers is $1,500 to $8,000 a month. A percent-of-spend model pays the agency more when you spend more, which is why we do not use it. The full comparison is on the marketplace agency pricing page.
How soon should Amazon PPC management change the numbers?
There is a 90-day onboarding period because marketplace results need time. Across accounts we manage, the average ACOS reduction in the first 90 days is 45%. After 90 days the agreement is month to month. Retention is 90% because of the work, not because of a long contract.
Do you only manage ads, or the rest of the Amazon account?
PPC is the core of this page, and it sits inside full Amazon management: listings, A+ content, account health, and, when the search foundation is profitable, Amazon DSP. Walmart can be added with the same team if that channel is next.
